I have decided to break up our vacation into a few smaller posts rather than one big one. We did so much while we were home and visited so many people that it would literally take me forever to write a post that captured that much emotion and excitement. So instead I am going to attempt to do a little “vacation summary series”, if you will.
A few days ago as Andrew and I were talking about our vacation Andrew mentioned that we should track how many miles we traveled. Today I sat down to figure that out and was shocked at the number….we traveled over 6,000 miles in just 2.5 weeks!! It comes as no surprise that we STILL have laundry to do and little piles to put away.
Our first stop on our visit home was Andrew’s home. We spent a few days here visiting and resting up from our flight and it. was. glorious. I was LOVING the heat and the green that is the east coast. I mean seriously, look how green that picture is? We simply do not see color like that in California.
We then drove to a family cottage on Lake Chatauqua, NY where we spent the weekend with Andrew’s immediate family. We spent so much time boating and sunning and just having a BLAST!
I’ll be uploading more pictures from the lake later today so be on the lookout on my Facebook page.
