Back in February, my sister-in-law recommended that I read from Sophie Kinsella because her books were light and easy and just fun girl books. A few weeks ago I finally picked one up!
I don’t know why I haven’t read Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella sooner! It is light, witty, and outright hilarious. I have never laughed out loud so much by a book. The plot in this book revolves around Lottie’s desire to get married. When her boyfriend plans a special lunch because he wants to ask her a question, she is sure that wedding bells are in the near future. But when his big question is regarding airline miles for a trip instead of a wedding Lottie becomes irate and breaks up with him (yeah, I might be a little upset as well). She then makes an impulsive decision to wed an old boyfriend that she recently reconnected with. Lottie’s sister, however, is displeased with her recent nuptials and does everything in her power to keep them from consummating their marriage. This book is the ultimate chick-lit and is a perfect summer read.
