This weekend was one of our bests! Great quality time with my hubby enjoying the outdoors and good food with great friends. AND the extra day was quite a bonus.
Saturday morning, like any true Penn Stater, we rose bright and early at 5:30am to watch Penn State beat UCF in Ireland. It was quite a game and an unbelievable start to the season.
We capped off our Saturday at Baja Cantina with some great friends. This restaurant is in Carmel Valley and a local favorite. We feel more and more like a local every time we go….which is fairly often.
Sunday after church I enjoyed a long nap. We then ventured to Jack’s Peak Park and hiked a few trails. We have heard a lot about this park but had never checked it out. We absolutely LOVED it! Note to any future hikers: the trails are not well marked so it is easy to get lost. Also, watch your step…there’s horse poop everywhere.
Capping off our long weekend and our Labor Day, we joined our life group for a BBQ out in the countryside. It was so nice to get away from Monterey for a little while and enjoy one another’s company. So, so thankful for weekends like these.
