Man am I glad to have Andrew home. While it was nice to not have to cook and watch endless amounts of Parenthood, I am so happy to have him back. Our place was awful quiet and lonely and it got rather stuffy since I wouldn’t open any windows…I was just a wee bit nervous.
It may have only been a week but it felt much longer so when he returned we spent the entire weekend together…here’s a few highlights.
1/ Andrew went to bed around 8pm Friday night so I poured over cookbooks to plan our menu for the week 2/ We biked to Pacific Grove for breakfast Saturday morning and found ourselves in the midst of the PG Triathlon. 3/ Breakfast at Holly’s…so yummy! 4/ Forgot something at the grocery store…had to go back 5/ homemade guacamole for the Penn State game 6/ I’ve been dying for some carrot cake for weeks now and finally made one. Now I just need to find some friends who will help me eat it (Andrew doesn’t like carrot cake) 7/ Sunday we joined our friends in a double date to Costco! I was thrilled at this idea since we do not have a membership. 8/ Needless to say we were stocking up compared to our friends. 9/ Sunday afternoon Andrew and I put together our Costco puzzle while watching the Packers game. 10/ Our double date with our costco friends continued with dinner and dessert…we provided the dessert. I made cherry dream bars which will be coming to the blog soon.
