Some books deserve better than a 5 star review because they’re just that good. This book is one of them. I’m sure you don’t need to read another positive review to prompt you to read this book, but just in case you do, here are my thoughts.
The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green, is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. A few months ago my sister said I just had to read it and that she had read this book in just three days time. My sister is a bigger book nerd than I am and she can fly through a book much faster. I didn’t think much of it until I finally picked it up for myself. I was only a few pages in when I realized that there was no putting it down. I also flew through it in just two days…beating my sisters time.
This book is so much more than two kids with cancer, in that it offers a fresh perspective on life. While this was a fictional book, the story could’ve been about anyone…it could be anyone. Life is too short not to live it to the fullest. I was so moved by these two characters (Hazel and Augustus) and how they were determined to follow their dreams, even with their limitations. This book taught me so much about life and love and its bound to do the same for you.
