This year is flying by like none other. It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming in the new year with dear friends and good champagne. In only a few short months we’ll be doing that all over again. But before I get too ahead of myself here are a few goals for the month ahead.
RECAP of OCTOBER GOALS
Work on our Christmas cards. I did it! I started our Christmas cards as of October 31, but that still counts! I have narrowed down an idea and I have already started addressing envelopes. Also, I would like to mention here that we made it through October without listening to Christmas music, so thats a win in my book. Go on a fall hike. If you saw my earlier post on Lake George then you already know that I went on a few fall hikes. And that they were beautiful. Truly thankful that I was able to go back and join my family on that trip. Go through my closet. Over the last few months I have gotten rid of a few clothes here and there. This month, though, I went through and got rid of so many clothes that either didn’t fit or that I just didn’t wear anymore. I loaded a big garbage bag and it felt really good to finally free up some space in my drawers. Get fit. I don’t know if I can cross this off cause I wasn’t that great at going to the gym this month. But I will say that I have been doing “ok” on our fitness challenge at work. While I am not cutting out all carbs, I am working hard to just cut out the bad carbs I seem to consume. Plus, I have been trying to get in workouts here and there. Its been hard recently as I have added a few extra things to my plate.
Carve a pumpkin. I failed on this one. Carving a pumpkin is hard work and we never set aside the time. Now that Halloween is over and the pressure of pumpkin carving has receded I think I’ll resort to painting our pumpkins instead…that sounds fun, right?
MY GOALS for NOVEMBER
Finish our Christmas cards. I’ve got a good head start which makes me confident that I can get these done before December rolls in.
Begin Cross Fit. My gym membership was up at the end of October, but that doesn’t mean I’m off the hook. My boss encourages his staff to attend Cross fit. Now, I have never done cross fit in my life and I have to say that it intimidates me a little bit. I have signed up for it and looking to start my initial classes.
Get Away. We won’t be going home for thanksgiving and instead we want to go away during that time. We’ve been talking for a few months about where we want to go and we decided on the Channel Islands off the coast of Santa Barbara. We haven’t made any final decisions/reservations, as we are still unsure of a few things.
What are your goals for November?
