Living far away from home has been hard, but it also has its perks. One perk is that people wanna come visit you since you live in a nice area. This weekend we had the pleasure of hosting Andrews parents and explored new things in Monterey. Andrew worked a half day on Friday, so while we waited for him my father-in-law finished an end table for us and my mother-in-law and I crocheted. Saturday begun with a trip to the best bakery in town followed by a hike at Garland Ranch. Sunday, we enjoyed lunch at Pebble Beach (thanks Dad!) and a little shopping in Carmel. I also broke out the peppermint hot chocolate this weekend, so that alone made this weekend so much more special and festive. I had a little trouble seeing them go as we had such a fun time, but I know more fun times are too be had with Christmas around the corner.
