This past weekend we escaped to Lake Tahoe with some friends and had an INCREDIBLE time. While the trip was super long, the beauty of the lake and the snow capped mountains made it worth the drive.
We’ve been to Tahoe before in the summer, but I really enjoyed being there at this time of year. It wasn’t crazy with tourists yet and the air was cool and crisp which made it perfect hiking weather.
Since we made a quick weekend trip, Saturday was packed with several small hikes, including Fallen Leaf Lake and Emerald Bay, time at the beach, and group games in the evening. Sunday we woke up tired and stiff (well at least I did) and took it easy with a short hike to Eagle Falls and a little trip to South Lake Tahoe before taking off.
